We do not buy transformers, switchgear, breakers, MCCs, generators, chillers or machinery, and we do not price mixed scrap. See what each family covers.
Why it piles up
Nobody orders surplus wire on purpose.
It arrives by accident. A switchgear package is redesigned after the feeders are pulled. A service upgrade is quoted for 400 feet and the run measures 310. A plant keeps a spare reel of XHHW in case a motor lead fails, then replaces the motor instead. A distributor takes a discontinued part number off the shelf and finds four partial reels behind it.
None of that is scrap. It is identifiable, tagged, often still banded cable with a known standard printed on the jacket, and it is worth more as wire than as weight. That is the only thing we buy, and it is the reason we ask for photos of the tag before we ask for anything else.
We buy from the people who end up holding it: contractors, distributors, manufacturers, utilities, demolition crews, campuses and food plants. Six seller types, one process.
What we do not buy
Transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, motors, industrial machinery, pipe, strut, fixtures, or mixed scrap metal. If a load is wire plus a pallet of something else, we will price the wire and tell you to move the rest separately.
The whole process
Three steps, one phone.
Send the tags
Use the quote form or text photos of each reel tag and jacket legend. Note the gauge, voltage, footage left and how many reels.
Get a number
We price the lot by type, metal, size, condition and the footage actually remaining, then come back with one figure for the wire you listed.
We collect it
Once the load is agreed we arrange collection in Kansas, so you are not loading a trailer yourself or paying to haul wire you no longer need.
Who sells to us
Surplus looks different in every building.
Not every facility has a spare reel, and we will never claim otherwise. When one does, it is usually the same six stories.

QUESTIONS KANSAS SELLERS ASK FIRST
Do you buy partial reels, or only full ones?
Partial reels are the normal case, not the exception. A reel with 300 feet left on a 1,000-foot order is worth pricing, and so is a box of coil ends. Tell us roughly how much is left and send a photo of the tag so we can confirm the type and gauge.
What if the tags are gone or unreadable?
Send a close photo of the print on the jacket and a shot of the conductor ends. The jacket legend usually carries the type, size, voltage rating and standard. If nothing is readable, we can still look at the wire, but the offer will be based on the metal and construction rather than a known part.
Do you buy aluminum wire as well as copper?
Yes. Aluminum building wire, aluminum SER and URD, and XHHW-2 aluminum are all bought, priced on their own metal value and construction. Copper and aluminum are quoted separately when a load has both.
Do you buy used or already-installed wire?
Decommissioned feeder and branch wire is considered case by case. It has to be clean, identifiable and worth the freight after it comes out. Wire pulled through conduit and cut into short pieces usually is not, and we will tell you that plainly instead of wasting your time.
Are you based in Kansas?
We buy across Kansas and arrange collection statewide, but we do not publish an office, yard or walk-in address in the state, and we will not pretend to have one. Everything starts with a phone call or the quote form, and pickup is scheduled once the load is agreed.
WIRE SITTING IN YOUR YARD IS STILL MONEY.
Send the tag photos and we will come back with a number for the lot, the partial reels included.
